Mixing Cropped Jacket

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Beda has several new outfits that attract my attention, and one of them is this new cropped jacket. There are several version of them, I even try them on just to get the feel of it. Most of them are cute, but seriously having the same outfits with just different pattern? I am a spender with no big budget so I have to make a choice and I prefer the one with batik pattern.

Naturally, I do have my worries wearing cropped jacket as I have big belly. Usually I wore jacket to cover it, but with cropped jacket I can’t do that. But then again, you wouldn’t know which style that suitable without trying. So here goes

OOTD Ria Tumimomor
My OOTD

When I saw a photo shared by my acquaintance on her Instagram, my eyes locked on her bag. It’s so cute, and I have not seen that kind of bag here in Jakarta. I check out online, like who knows probably this bag; Mis Zapatos is actually Indonesian brand. Not after I check out their Instagram then I know Mis Zapatos IS NOT Indonesian brand. And no, that bag is not available here in Indonesia. Only in Japan, and later I found out in Singapore and Malaysia.

Ethnic pants by BEDA

Nope, I’m not an expert in handling traditional fabric and such. In reality, I’m totally just as clueless as anybody else. The thing is, when we traveling to exotic countries or areas we fall in love with those traditional fabrics. So, we decided to buy them because let’s face it. It’s hard to resist that colorful fabric. But, we have no idea how to do a proper maintenance. Aren’t we?

Trying to smile under the heavy wind and rain wasn’t easy

I once wrote it here what dress I will bring, what kind of outfit for my outing trip to the province of  islands Bangka and Belitung. Well, guess what… no surprise that all my plan failed.

I didn’t expect the weather would not be friendly with us. I have expected there would be rain but goodness for all day long? And our trip was hopping islands where you expected blue sky and white sands. It didn’t happen. So, eventually I just wear my shirt and legging because there is no place for changing clothes. Yeah, I brought my raincoat but I use it to cover my belonging from the rain. It was a miracle I didn’t get sick.

Batik From Bangka

Batik top bought at Bangka
It has been more than two weeks since I was back from traveling Belitung and Bangka. But I have not written about my trip so I decided to post this one first.
On our last day in Bangka before going back to Jakarta. our tour guide: Tria took us to two places that sold not only souvenirs like crackers or keychains but also traditional fabric. Each provinces in Indonesia has their own traditional clothes and fabrics. Belitung and Bangka also have their own batik.
I was really not in the mood for shopping frenzy since I have run out of money. We were not taken to the fabric where we can see the traditional fabric being made. But to two stores and both of them naturally put a bit higher price. After wipe out almost my money on crackers, coffee and shirt at sovenir shop, Tria the tour guide took us to Galeri Batik Destiani where we can buy traditional fabric from Bangka.

Discount Goods, yay or nay?

IMG_5091

So, I know I have been reminding myself not to buy online again and again. But well, sometimes I browsing around the net and found something cute though not useful. Or something not so cute but the very thing that I need though not urgent. Anyway, in the end I think buying things will find its own way to me. Kidding.

That Smaller Dress

Olivine Dress by Capapiestore

On this blog, I posted about NOT RECOMMENDED to buy smaller or bigger dress. Want to know why I posted about that? As you can see on the above photo is me, with dress that obviously too tight or well… TOO SMALL for me. Right.

I saw that dress few months ago and I was actually planning to buy a long vest. But, guess what, my eyes quickly saw this dress and just fall in love with its simplicity. It’s not even on discounted prices nor sale but didn’t matter. The Olivine dress by Capapiestore only has that one tiny miny problem. It doesn’t fit me, following the line of my body too much. Or you can say, it shown my jelly belly right at you.

But you know what? I bought it anyway. Yeah, I bought it, happy with it. And then come this confusion moment, how in the heck am I suppose to wear this dress? Well, without feeling someone looking at my belly. Or making me feel less confident and things like that. Why I bought it in the first place if is too troublesome?
