Once I held giveaway sponsored by Indonesian line clothing called : BEDA. Second on my other blog during Eid al-Fitr festivity. And now, come to think of it…seems unfair that I have not share with you about BEDA. What is BEDA? What is the meaning of that name? So, after the giveaway I think this is the right time to get acquainted with BEDA. And here goes…

 

Hi! Thanks for spending some time for this interview. Can you tell us a bit about BEDA? Like when this business started?  

No problem, the pleasure is mine. Beda design is a leading Indonesian boutique design and manufacturer of women’s fashion. Tops, ethnic pants, dresses that our customer able to wear to formal ceremonies or for hang out and for daily activities outfits in the office. BEDA launched the first collection around May 2017. The respond was incredible as our first collection sold out within 2 days.

Wow! That was awesome! By the way, why choose BEDA as the name?

In English, BEDA means different. The name of BEDA chosen because the owner loves and interested in combining colors and different patterns of fabrics in one dress or top. Once they are match to each other in one design, the dress or the top will be different, they will be BEDA.

 

Tell us about the process in the making of BEDA’s products. Who do all the design??

All products designed by the owner : Diah Ratna Sundari.

She has passion for fashion since long time ago. Started from hunting fabrics along with their accessories, choose which best combination for creating of unique outfits. She is also supervising the quality control to ensure high quality of BEDA’s production to our customer’s satisfaction.

What kind of materials that being used to most of BEDA’s product? Why choose that material?

Beda use high quality fabrics of cotton prints and traditional fabrics. Beda use materials with interesting colors and pattern that will have unique combination once they are being put together. BEDA doesn’t use materials that commonly used by other garments to ensure the uniqueness of our product. We want our customer to feel special when wearing our products.

What makes BEDA’s different than any other similar products? Considering there are a lot of them nowadays

Our products are not mass production therefore we are able to maintain high quality during the cutting process. We also pay lots of attention to the quality of materials that we chose. Kindly note, that not everyone has the same taste in choosing which pattern compatible with certain colors before put them together into one outfit.

One design may have different combination of fabrics, pattern and colors. That is why we limited our production in order to have our customers feel that these outfits are exclusive.

 

Will BEDA be producing line for children and men?

We are currently considering to expand our clothing line for men and children. And we are interested in producing fashion accessories in the future. However, all of these need careful planning so you will have to wait our surprise.

 

 

During last May 2017, BEDA has participated in several events in Kuala Lumpur: 

 

 

 

 

The very first was SURABAYA INDONESIA KUALA LUMPUR FESTIVAL. 

 

 

 

 

Followed by INDONESIA STREET BUKIT BINTANG FIESTA. Will there be any other events abroad that BEDA planning to participate?

Yes, BEDA is getting ready to participate in an event that will be held in one of the countries in Europe. We want people abroad to know more about Indonesian fashion industry rich with so many cultures. And naturally we also wants BEDA to be known by more people in other countries.
